Nashipae

Maasai Mara, 2021

Nashipae is the Maasai word for 'happiness'. This cheetah mother was named so due to her positive and happy attitude towards life, that she expresses while marauding the wild plains of the Maasai Mara.

During my stay in the conservancy in February 2021, Nashipae and her two cubs were who I spent most of my time with and most time photographing. I was incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph them free from any other vehicles for an entire morning, watching them interact and play with each other. It was a wonderfully special moment and one that I will remember for the rest of my life.
